GREENVILLE, N.C. (April 19, 2022) - Economic developers and industry experts from across the state will be in Greenville on Thursday, April 21 for a networking luncheon hosted by the North Carolina Economic Development Association (NCEDA). The Greenville Eastern North Carolina (ENC) Alliance is teaming up with Pitt County Economic Development to co-sponsor the luncheon at the Hilton Greenville from 12:30-2pm.
“We are excited to welcome economic developers and industry partners to Greenville as we highlight the many great assets of our community,” shared Tom Kulikowski, Greenville ENC Alliance interim president and CEO. “Our organization works closely with many of these professionals on a regular basis and we look forward to having them join us in Pitt County for the afternoon.”
The networking luncheon’s topic is Advancing Rural Communities Through University Collaboration with a specific highlight of East Carolina University. During the event, ECU leaders will speak on efforts to extend its teaching, research, and public service to the benefit of industries, companies, and communities both in and beyond the region.
Sharon Paynter, Vice Chancellor for Economic and Community Engagement, and Keith Wheeler, Executive Director of the Office of National Security and Industry Initiatives, will share an update on current activities, programs and partnerships designed to advance rural North Carolina.
